I went to Marseille for the first time at the end of January with my Frenchie, Yana. We decided to go there, mainly because we managed to find very cheap flight tickets (£20 in total). We couldn’t miss such a bargain! Overall, I was happy about the trip, but I wasn’t very sure about what to expect from our destination until I got there. However, Marseille turned out be fantastic! I’m absolutely in love with that city and can’t wait to be back. I have chosen 4 places that I loved the most and think everyone should see, while in Marseille.
Odwiedziłam Marsylię po raz pierwszy pod koniec stycznia z moja Frenchie, Yana. Zdecydowałyśmy się tam pojechać, głównie dzięki temu, iż znalazłyśmy bilety lotnicze w bardzo atrakcyjnej cenie (£20 w obie strony). Nie mogłyśmy przegapić takiej okazji! Ogólnie, cieszyłam się na ten wyjazdu, jednak nie byłam do końca pewna, czego mogę się spodziewać po miejscu, do którego miałyśmy się udać. Ku mojemu zaskoczeniu, Marsylia okazała się być fantastyczna. Muszę przyznać, że jestem zakochana w tym mieście i nie mogę się doczekać powrotu. Postanowiłam pokazać Wam 4 miejsca, które najbardziej mi sie podobały, i które z pewnoscia powinniście odwiedzić będac w Marsylii.
1. Le Panier
Definitely one of the most inspiring places and also my favourite in Marseille. La Panier is the historic area of the city, imbued with the artistic spirit of the Mediterranean culture. It’s located close to Cathèdrale de la Major. Its small streets full of colors and plants, with its unique character, makes you want to discover every single corner of this extraordinary place. Le Panier is full of small squares and artsy places like La Maison du petit Canard and cute coffee shops. Moreover, it’s a great spot for everyone passionate about photography. Fantastic pictures guaranteed.
Zdecydowanie jedno z moich ulubionych i najbardziej inspirujacych miejsc w Marsylii. La Panier to historyczna część miasta, przesiaknięta artystycznym duchem śródziemnomorskiej kultury. Jest położona blisko Cathèdrale de la Major. Małe uliczki, wypełnione kolorowymi okiennicami oraz kwiatami, majace swój niepowtarzalny charakter, sprawiaja, że chcielibyście odkryć każdy zakatek tej niezwykłej części miasta. La Panier skrywa mnóstwo artystycznych miejsc takich jak La Maison du petit Canard oraz niezliczona ilość małych kawiarnii. Ponadto, to świetne miejsce dla wszystkich miłośników fotografii. Wspaniałe zdjęcia gwarantowane.
2.Vieux Port
The Old Port of Marseille. The heart of the city. Amazing spot to have an evening walk with your love, super romantic. The port is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and small cafés. You can easily find lots of interesting places around like Hôtel de Ville, the Abbey of Saint Victor or La Canabière, the main street of the city, also called the Champs-Élysèes of Marseille.
Stary Port w Marsylii. Serce miasta. Nie znajdziecie bardziej romantycznego miejsca na wieczorny spacer ze swoim partnerem. Wokół portu znajduje się wiele restauracji i urokliwych kawiarnii. Z łatwościa możecie także znaleźć wiele interesujacych miejsc, takich jak Hôtel de Ville, Abbey of Saint Victor lub La Canabière – główna ulicę miasta, nazywana również Polami Elizejskimi Marsylii.
3.Notre-Dame de la Garde
Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde is the best-known symbol of Marseille. It’s a Catholic sanctuary build on the La Garde hill (162m), which is the highest natural point in the city. The view of the city from the hill is literally breathtaking. It takes around 20 min walking to get there from the city center, but it’s definitely worth it, as you can see so many beautiful places on the way.

To Katolickie sanktuarium zostało wybudowane na wzgórzu La Garde (162m), które stanowi najwyższy naturalny punkt miasta. Widok za wzgórza na panoramę Marsylii jest niepowtarzalny. Spacer z centrum miasta zajmuje około 20 minut, jednak uwierzcie mi, że warto, gdyż po drodze możecie podziwiać wiele pięknych miejsc.
4.Le Petit Pernod
If you can’t imagine your life without pasta, you should definitely visit Le Petit Pernod. It’s a cozy restaurant located next to the Vieux Port. The food that they are serving there is just excellent. Frankly speaking, Pasta Pernod was one of the best one I have eaten in my life. If you are ever in Marseille, unquestionably add dinner in Le Petit Pernod to your list.
Jeżeli tak jak ja, nie potraficie wyobrazić sobie swojego życia bez spaghetti, zdecydowanie powinniście odwiedzić Le Petit Pernod. Ta przytulna restauracja znajduje się przy Starym Porcie (Vieux Port). Jedzenie, które jest tam serwowane jest naprawdę wyśmienite. Szczerze mówiac, spaghetti Pernod było jednym z najlepszych jakie jadłam w życiu. Dlatego też, jeżeli kiedykolwiek będziecie w Marsylii, koniecznie musicie dodać kolację w Le Petit Pernod do swojej listy.
